I have been attending Jessica's classes with the same group of women for five years. Jessica is a fabulous example of an expert Pilates teacher. She understands anatomy and movement. She makes the classes challenging and I feel as though I have had a thorough workout after each class. I highly recommend her Zoom Pilates classes as a way of continuing the work through and beyond the pandemic.

Pilates for Active Aging: Mat & Resistance Band Class

Tuesdays, 12:30-1:30pm


at Vintage House Senior Center in Sonoma, CA
This weekly, full-body workout is designed to support the longevity of healthy movement. Pilates mat and resistance band exercises build overall strength, flexibility, posture and core support, while integrating mindful breathing. Open to all levels. Modifications are offered in order to make the exercises less, or more, challenging. 

Required Props:
  • Bring your exercise mat or folded blanket, or borrow one from Vintage House
  • Flat resistance band (light and/or medium resistance). Bring your own, or purchase a red Theraband from the instructor for $5.​

Online
Pilates Mat + Home Props
(Mixed-Level)
​Mondays, 9-9:55am (PST)
Using simple props that you have at home, Jessica's 55-minute online class will help you build overall strength, flexibility, posture and core support, while integrating mindful breathing and the joy of movement. Participants will also receive access to the class recording, allowing for the option to repeat the workout on your own. All levels are welcome, and modifications are offered in order to make the exercises less, or more, challenging.

PROPS
:
  • a mat or blanket
  • weights (soup cans, water bottles, or light-weight dumbbells; OPTIONAL: heavier dumbbells)
  • a strap or resistance band for stretching (kitchen towel, long scarf or a belt also work well)
  • a pillow
All levels are welcome and modifications are offered in order to make the exercises less, or more, challenging.

  • 55-minute Online Group Classes are designed with your home exercise environment in mind.​
  • Work your whole body with stretching, strengthening and stabilization exercises performed while standing, sitting and lying down on the mat.
  • Adapt exercises to your individual body with optional modifications.
  • Enjoy the sense of camaraderie that comes with sharing a group experience.
